Florida Security Officer Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a license, you must:

Be at least 18 years old.

Be a citizen or legal resident alien of the United States

Be a Permanent Legal Resident granted authority to work in this country by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. *
*(If you register and pre-pay for a class and you are not elligible of licensure, no refunds will be given. Make sure you're elligible for licensure before registering.)

The Psychological Test is by appointment only and from Mon - Thurs. We do not allow walk-ins.
Appointment requests on our "Off Days" where we have to come in from Fri - Sun are $150 and by availability only

We started PSG Security Academy to give our students with the highest caliber of professional security training.
Our facility and classes are held in a clean and spacious facility. Most schools don't show their facilities on their websites... why do you think that is?They then try to get you to do their Online Classes and didn't our kids find out during Covid that online training is not the greatest way to learn.
Just Say "No" to online training.

PSG Academy is conveniently located just 20 minutes north of Tampa in the Zephyrhills / Wesley Chapel suburbs. You may have to drive a little further than some of those other schools but check out their reviews on Google Maps and then check out our's and you'll see why our students make the drive.
Students must Pre-register & Pre-pay on our website the Friday prior to class.
When students Pre-pay, there is less chance of cancellation and less administrative costs.
